Winter try-outs

Dear blog reader,

We are in the middle of Summer here in the Netherlands, and that is not exactly the time to spend making jewellery. That is more a Winter pastime! In this past Winter, I read this book and tried out a lot of things mentioned there.

First, I tried to cut out figures out of baked (still warm) clay. The flowers are quite brittle, though.

Then I pressed a piece of lace in clay, with this result:  

Furthermore, I used a rubber stamp to make beads with inprints. Very difficult! Here is the result, on fluorescent clay:
