Keep on rolling

Dear blog readers,

This past week has been so great: no office to go to! So far I dedicated almost all my spare time to working with my beloved clay. As you could read in the previous message, Marijke triggered my inspiration, and I haven't stopped since. So last Thursday 6 items were sold, and in the meantime I have made 10 new necklaces, some with matching earrings. This way my colleague Mieke will have something to choose from next week when she will pick out a present for her best friend.

I used new colours, a new brand of clay (Cernit: in the colours pine green and emerald), and tried several ways of tying it all together. Let me show you a few of my babies:

At KreaDoe a couple of months ago I purchased silver foil and worked with that again. It looks nice, but not too adventurous. I am sure there is more to be done with it.
Furthermore, I repaired my neighbour Marjan's necklace by replacing the strap and attaching a proper lock to it. In return she gave me several types of small beads, really nice stuff. The really super small grey beads I incorporated in my latest creation, they go very well with the granite clay and blue sparkles. Thanks, Marjan!

Let me call it a (clay) day, tidy up and do something else. On the other hand...

Merry Christmas, everyone!

It is Christmas Eve, and time for me to send you all a big thank-you for your support and interest in my jewellery making venture. You are the inspiration I need!

For example: last Tuesday Johan's colleague Marijke asked if I had some necklaces in stock as she needed some Christmas presents. I did have some things ready to sell, but her request triggered my creative mind. Tuesday evening and the entire Wednesday were spent with my fingers in clay. It felt good to be able to present a few new items, such as:

After half an hour Johan sold 6 items to his colleagues!

A special thanks goes to Marijke, my best customer.

In the meantime, I made more which I will show in my next blog.

Wishing you all lots of love and fun!!!!

Willy

How are you?

How are you all? I have not written a blog article in a while. But soon I have some time off and I have many ideas for new necklaces, so before long you will hear from me again.
In the meantime, I visited a jewellery fair, and KreaDoe in Utrecht. I bought new material there, but also in Barcelona. There is this one street/area in Barcelona with several shops filled to the brim with hooks, beads, cords etcetera, just fabulous! For those who are interested:
- Bagoas, C/ Boqueria, 32, http://www.bagoas.com/site/index.php
- L'antiga Casa Sala, c/ call, 8, http://www.antigacasasala.es/
So please watch this space, new clay jewellery coming up!!
